ABOUT ME
I’m Durell Thomas Jr., but most people know me as DT. I’m a sports videographer, photographer, and content creator currently entering my senior year at Arizona State University, majoring in Sports Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
I got my start on the east side of Detroit, where my love for football and creativity collided. After spinal fusion surgery ended my chance to play, I picked up my dad’s Canon T6 and found a new lane through the lens. Since then, I’ve built a growing body of work — from covering high school football and shooting for 7v7 programs like Sound Mind Sound Body, to producing hype content for Arizona State Athletics and interning with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
My passion lies in telling real, raw stories — whether it's a game-winning touchdown, a quiet sideline moment, or a behind-the-scenes grind most people don’t see. I’ve had the opportunity to cover major events like the Fiesta Bowl, document athletes at every level, and even produce content for the D-backs. Every frame I shoot is with purpose — to bring fans closer and help athletes tell their stories.
My goal is to continue creating at the highest level — ideally for a pro team, college program, or creative agency that values authentic storytelling. I’m always open to new opportunities, collaborations, and projects that push the craft forward.
Thanks for tapping in — let’s build.
